Wire-ready company description

KairoNull is an AI governance evidence infrastructure platform built for regulated financial institutions. Founded in Cape Town under BlackFlag Digital, KairoNull produces cryptographically verifiable records of AI decision events: every input, output, governing policy, and result, sealed in a SHA-256 hash chain at the moment of generation.

Unlike AI governance dashboards that produce reports, KairoNull produces evidence. The distinction is architectural: records are captured contemporaneously and cannot be altered after the fact. Any modification breaks the cryptographic chain. This makes KairoNull's output verifiable without access to KairoNull systems, satisfying the chain-of-custody and integrity standards regulators apply to digital evidence.

KairoNull targets the evidence gap between existing AI governance frameworks and the documentary requirements of the EU AI Act, FCA Consumer Duty, GDPR Article 22, and ISO 42001. The company is raising a seed round and is in active commercial conversations with regulated institutions in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

Quotable statements from the founder

"The organisations that will face the most scrutiny are the ones that adopted AI earliest and documented it least. Trust is not a defence when something goes wrong. Evidence is."

Dane Taylor, Founder & CEO, KairoNull

"Every major institution has observability for infrastructure, security for endpoints, and financial controls for transactions. The evidence layer for AI decisions is the infrastructure gap. That is what KairoNull is."

Dane Taylor, Founder & CEO, KairoNull

"The difference between what we produce and what every other governance tool produces is the difference between a security camera and a written note about what you think the camera saw. One is evidence. One is not."
